The much awaited TV/Web Series Halo which is based on a cult classic video game by the same. The first episode just released and it's fantastic. It was really nice to listen to some familiar music from the video game.
The story gets right into the groove with some big creatures attacking a human base. The series doesn't waste any time in telling you the story. The visual effects in the episode are quite magnificent. Some of the scenes right at the beginning of the episode are simply brutal. I wasn't expecting the brutality but it goes with theme of the show that the makers are setting up.
The Master Chief's entry is fantastic and the actions sequence that follows is captivating. The action and sound design for the action is very well done, reminds you of the game. They have used the game elements very smartly. Not too much but just enough to make you feel at home. The story is very interesting is well. The performances in the first episode from all the actors are on point. There is drama and action in the first episode and the actors have handled it expertly.
Overall this is fantastic first episode in the series and makes you want to watch the next episode. Let's see what we have in the coming episodes.
